The \;2019 Garrett FitzGerald Corporate Citizenship Award \;will be given to the team of \;Servpro of Ravenswood \;for a variety of community service initiatives. Through their annual \;First Responder Bowl\, they build community and show appreciation as well as raise funds for the families of first responders\, and offer educational resources like CPR training as part of the event. In addition to this program\, they have also recently introduced a veterans hiring initiative and showcase their cleaning skills by participating in local park cleanups around Earth Day. This year'\;s \;Peter Kattner Lifetime Achievement Award \;will be given to \;Tom Fencl\, owner of the Davis Theater and a longtime fixture of the Northcenter business community. In addition to his years of service supporting events and initiatives for the Northcenter and Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chambers of Commerce\, Tom and his team worked tirelessly to restore the Davis Theater\, preserving the movie house and restoring it to its former glory. Since its reopening\, the Davis has opened its doors and become a community hub for everything from social gatherings to charity events to educational and political forums. \; \;
\n\nIn addition to his essential work preserving and improving this economic and cultural mainstay of our neighborhood\, Tom is a friend to everyone he meets. \;
