DESCRIPTION:Did you know one in four people experiences a mental illness each year?  \n\nWould you know how help someone experiencing a mental health crisis?\n\n\nMental Health First Aid is a public education course that introduces participant to risk factors and warning signs of mental heath problems\, builds understanding of their impact and overviews common treatments.\n\n\n\nParticipants receive a course manual\, a resource folder\, lunch and a certificate of completion.\n\n \nContinuing Education\n\nC4 offers continuing education credits for the following professionals who attend the Adult MHFA course:\n\n\n	Human Resource Professionals through the Human Resources Certificate Institute (6.5 hours)\n	Counselors\, Social Workers\, Marriage and Family Therapists\, and Clinical Psychologists through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) (8 hours)\n	Educators through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) (8 hours)\n	Nurses through the Ohio Nurses Association (ONA) (8 hours)\n\n\n*This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91)\, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. *\n\nProfessionals certified through the Illinois Alcohol and Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA) may petition for continuing education credits for a $10 fee.
