Abraham Lincoln Association Summer Symposium
Join the Abraham Lincoln Association for our fourth annual summer symposium on June 20th. The world's leading Lincoln scholar, Michael Burlingame, and four other Lincoln experts will speak on various aspects of the 16th president's life and legacy, from his law practice and ethics to the inspiration he found in the Declaration of Independence. The five speakers include: Michael Burlingame on “Lincoln and Colonization”, Roger Billings on “Lincoln - His Law Practice and Ethics", Robert Girardi on “Lincoln’s Relationship with the Common Soldier”, Dennis Doyle on “Lincoln and the Irish” and Bill Shepherd on “Lincoln and the Declaration of Independence". The Abraham Lincoln Association invites all history buffs for a day of learning and mingling with scholars and fellow enthusiasts. For current ALA members, the event is free. For non-members, the event costs $20. Please RSVP on our website or message Kay Smith at kaysmith.ala@gmail.com.
