Dare to Embody: A Body Image Support Group Inspired by The Daring Way™. The following is additional information to help you decide if this group is a good fit! Offered by Nourishment Works, Dare to Embody is a 8-week virtual support group designed for individuals who want to explore and repair their relationship with their bodies through the lens of Dr. Brené Brown’s Daring Way™ curriculum. Rooted in themes of courage, connection, and compassion, this group provides space for deep reflection, learning, and shared experience in community.

This group is ideal for individuals who are ready to challenge cultural beauty norms, examine internalized appearance-based narratives, and cultivate a more respectful and connected relationship with their bodies. Through a blend of guided activities, reflection prompts, and group discussion, participants will be supported in embodying self-trust, vulnerability, and wholehearted living—starting with how they treat and talk to their own bodies.

Group Format & Topics
The first session will focus on creating safety and trust within the group through connection-based activities. The following sessions will combine psychoeducation, experiential exercises, and group discussion based on the themes of The Daring Way™, with a specific focus on body image and embodiment. We will close each group with grounding or reflection.

Topics include:
Cultivating body respect and self-compassion
Letting go of comparison and the thin ideal
Examining the cultural roots of body shame and anti-fat bias
Reconnecting with body cues and inner wisdom
Exploring movement and body trust through values-based living
Vulnerability, courage, and authenticity in our embodied selves

This group is currently being offered virtually and is 8 weeks in length. An intake session with the facilitator is required to join. The out of pocket cost is $60 per group session.
