Electronics Recycling & Shredding Day

FREE: Paper Shredding & Recycling

Join us on Saturday, July 18th from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Jewel Osco parking lot (4250 N Lincoln) for a free paper shredding and recycling event. Details on accepted items below.

Accepted Paper for Shredding

• White and colored office paper

• Envelopes (with or without windows)

• Legal pads and notepads

• File folders

• Non-glossy flyers, brochures, and pamphlets

Please remove all staples and paper clips before arriving.

Accepted for recycling

• Prescription medications (pills and bottles)

  • No needles or sharps

• Electronics of any kind

Not Accepted

• Newspapers and magazines

• Cardboard (including book covers and composition notebooks)

• Plastic bags and bubble mailers

• Credit cards, ID cards, and license plates

• 3-ring binders and notebook spirals

• Plastic file covers, hanging folders, and accordion folders

• Paper towels, napkins, and tissues

• CDs, disks, blueprints, and Styrofoam

Due to popular demand, Midway Moving & Storage now offers free electronics recycling drop-off for Chicago residents and businesses.

When: 9AM - 3PM every Thursday, Friday & Saturday
