Lakeview Orchestra Concludes 11th Season with a Spectacular June 9 Finale Lakeview Orchestra will present its 2023-24 season finale, Brahms / Schoenberg, an unforgettable concert featuring world-class soloists at 2 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Athenaeum Center, located at 2936 N Southport Avenue in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. Under the baton of Gregory Hughes, the concert will showcase the brilliance of Johannes Brahms' Double Concerto for Violin and Cello, performed by Brant Taylor, esteemed cellist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Stephen Rose, principal second violinist of the Cleveland Orchestra. Additionally, audiences will experience Arnold Schoenberg's imaginative orchestration of Brahms' Piano Quartet No. 1, transforming this beloved chamber work into a symphonic masterpiece.
