Meditation is both an ancient tradition and a hot new trend in wellness, corporate, and pop culture spaces. In research studies, the powerful brain-changing and overall health benefits of meditation have been indisputably proven, but there's a dirty little secret that's rarely talked about: meditation doesn't work if you don't actually do it! For most people it just seems too cumbersome, time-consuming, or esoteric to incorporate in their busy everyday lives.
It doesn't have to be! If you're looking to start or restart a meditation practice that will work for your unique life circumstances and rhythms, this 4 week virtual workshop series will offer you structure, accountability, and practical tips for simple and transformative ways to incorporate meditation and mindfulness into your daily life, no matter how busy you are.
Each class will incorporate a presentation of meditation techniques, tips, and common pitfalls as well as a gentle yoga sequence to prepare the body, and a brief practice of meditation. At the end of the four weeks you'll have experienced a variety of accessible meditation techniques you can apply in your daily life, and you'll have had time to ask questions and get support as you try them out between sessions.
No previous experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and pillows or blankets, and find a quiet place in which to practice. Join a supportive group of fellow meditation enthusiasts and make meditation part of your everyday life!
