Brush Park Gym is looking for an School's Out Day Camp Counselor to join our team.

Job Description: Brush Park Gymnasium is a neighborhood gym, in the heart of Lincoln Square, built for families to get active, connect and make healthy living part of their lives.

We’re looking for a nurturing, caring, and playful team member to engage and supervise children of early elementary age during our school's out day camps throughout the year. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement active play activities for babies, toddlers, and elementary-aged children.
• Create a schedule of activities for the week and month.
• Work with team members to deliver high-quality programming.
• Provide a safe, fun, and caring environment for all kids.
• Stay engaged in play and an active participant in the space.
• Be creative and thoughtful in planning activities for all age groups.
• Help foster a welcoming environment for all children.
• Communicate well and professionally to parents and caregivers to offer the best experience for all members and kids.
• Help with bathroom breaks and communicate with other team members when parent needs to be notified for diaper changes.
• Clean and put away play equipment between classes.
• Be aligned with our team member core values. We are looking for someone who is professional, loves playing with kids and being active!

Requirements:

• College degree preferred but not required.
• Current first aid, CPR, and other safety certifications.
• Prior experience with children required.
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
• Ability to lift children and hold babies.
• Ability to be on your feet throughout the shift.
• Ability to demonstrate exercises and implement behavioral management strategies.
• Ability to execute emergency procedures.
• Ability to work weekends.

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)
