About Us

Founded by Rachel Whitenton in 2022, Songbird Kids is an independent music education company committed to fostering the inherent musicality of every young child through movement, music, instruments, and play. We recently moved to Chicago from Waco, TX and are so excited to make music with you!

Intended for families with infants and children up to 6 years old, our weekly, interactive classes include songs, rhythmic chants, movement, multicultural music, and plenty of instrument & prop play. These activities are presented in an informal, non-performance-oriented way that is developmentally appropriate for children and fun for parents and caregivers — regardless of their own musical ability.
